Blessing and Inauguration of 3 APPEND Classrooms

Alliance of Philippine Partners for Enterprise Development Inc.(APPEND) together with Katuwang Resource Center Inc. (KRCI) facilitated the blessing and inauguration of three new classrooms of Guinpanaan National Highschool-Mateo Liboon Campus of Moises Padilla last August 3,2016.


The program was formally opened through a ribbon cutting and unveiling of school building marker by the Principal of the school, Mrs. Joy Estacion, the Brgy. Captain, Ms. Nenita T. Alconera, and APPEND representative, Engr. Narciso San Miguel.


Then Engr. Narciso San Miguel emphasized the importance of education through sharing his personal experience to the audience. He said that their mom persevered for them to finish his studies despite the meager income they have. According to him, his mom, aside from doing laundry, would cook native food every morning so that they can have extra income. It is him who would later sell it. Later on, with her hard work and entrepreneurial efforts, his mom was able to raise 2 nurses and an engineer.



The vice-mayor of Moises Padilla, Hon. Ella Celestina G. Yulo also graced the crowd with her presence and shared that they are willing to build stronger partnerships with the organizations. Furthermore, she said that there are challenges in their town but they still would like to move forward. Lastly, she mentioned that this is an initiative that they really appreciate as they also recognize the importance of education.



To cap off this event, a prayer of dedication was then offered for the classroom.


And In the afternoon, a symposium about Drug Abuse and Teen Pregnancy was also held for the students of the school.This was conducted by the transformaton officers of KRCI.

This is already the second blessing and inauguration of classrooms facilitated by APPEND and KRCI. The first one was done for the two classrooms of Talacagay Elementary School of the Municipality of Hinobaan.
